Summer Overspend? How To Get Credit Card Debt Under Control

Have you had more fun this summer than your credit card has? Katie and Reagan discuss what to do if you’ve swiped a few too many times over the holiday period. Katie reminds us: be kind to yourself, but also make sure you don’t put yourself in that position again.

There are options available to help with “past overspend,” so it’s important to engage with credit card debt – rather than putting your head in the sand and ignoring the problem.

How To Set Your Financial Goals For 2026

For many, it’s the season for reflection, refreshing our perspective on life, and setting new goals for the year ahead. If your go-to motto in December was ‘that can wait until the New Year’ – that time has come, and now it’s time to get stuck in.

Katie shares that as a coach she’s not in the “inspiration business,” so much as the “transformation business.” She says it’s vital that these well-meaning aspirations for the New Year move beyond words and become concrete actions that will propel your finances forwards.

Breaking up your larger long-term goals into smaller, achievable actions helps you measure progress to keep you motivated and moving in the right direction.

Listen to Katie’s top tips for setting yourself up for success in 2026 in the full episode.

Spending Without Regret This Boxing Day

Katie and Reagan talk about Boxing Day sales – when they are useful, and when they hinder our progress. The simple distinction between the two is heading into the sales with a list of items you truly need, rather than browsing and buying things you weren’t planning to in the first place.

Katie’s tips for being intentional when heading into the sales? Don’t use a credit card, have a list of things you need, understand how much money you have to spend, and identify whether the deal you’re getting is a proper ‘deal’.
