Leading financial advice company ‘AdviceFirst’ and financial strategy and coaching company ‘enable.me’ have merged.
AdviceFirst is a homegrown business providing top-quality financial advice and business services to Kiwis throughout the country. Founded in 2008, AdviceFirst is a team of nearly 100 employees specialising in wealth management, insurance, and KiwiSaver advice.
The AdviceFirst team is dedicated to helping our clients realise a better financial future. Community is important to us. That’s why we are a proud accredited living wage business and have been awarded the Rainbow Tick for supporting diversity and inclusion in our communities.
enable.me and AdviceFirst have complementary geographical strengths, with AdviceFirst’s headquarters in Wellington and enable.me’s in Auckland. Both have offices around the country and will now be a team of over 160 employees.
AdviceFirst MD Mark Ennis says “enable.me has a reputation of being the best at what it does, and at AdviceFirst we pride ourselves on being the best at what we do – and I think our two companies will be even better together”.
Crucially, both companies have shared values and goals: to inspire even more Kiwis to realise a better financial future.
enable.me founder, Hannah McQueen, says “An alignment of values was critically important to me – and AdviceFirst is full of people of integrity, who put their clients first, and aspire to continually evolve, grow, and improve.”
Advisers at both AdviceFirst and enable.me are paid salaries – not commission – and both companies value and fiercely protect the independence of their advisers.
Combining forces, AdviceFirst and enable.me have ambitious plans for expansion, at a time when people need good quality advice more than ever.
Merging with AdviceFirst will give enable.me clients access to even more wrap around financial services than before – including, but not limited to personal insurance advice, KiwiSaver investment advice, and personal investment advice.
The merger takes effect from the 1st of April, but both brands will continue to exist independently.
Clients of each business will continue to work with their existing advisers so won’t experience any disruption, but will have the benefit of access to additional specialist services through the other company.
