Recently we helped Helen*, aged 61, review her current insurance policies. Helen has had Trauma cover since 2002 and as part of our standard process we explained her policy back to her so she could more easily understand what she was covered for. During this conversation, Helen mentioned she was diagnosed with a critical illness a few years back.

Helen is still working as a schoolteacher and has told us this pay-out is going to make life much easier as she prepares to retire. She is even going to discuss investing some of her claim money with one of our wealth advisers.
